The Irish Orienteering Championships 2027 is the premier Irish orienteering event of the year, bringing together competitors from across Ireland and internationally. Great Eastern Navigators are hosting a 3 day event commencing on Saturday May 1st with a middle distance race, this is followed on the Sunday with a long distance event. These events will take place on the slopes of Errisbeg Mountain adjacent to Roundstone in Connemara.  They promise complex navigation, intricate rock details, and physical challenge. The weekend will close with the Irish Relay Championships not far from Oughterard, on the morning of Monday 3rd of May.

The event centre for the weekend will be in the idyllic village of Roundstone. Roundstone is a charming picturesque village in the heart of Connemara, offering a wide range of places to stay and eat. It has two of the Lonely Planet's top 10 Irish beaches on its doorstep!

Every athlete will find their limits tested and their passion rewarded on the weekend's mix of terrain whether running championship or non-championship courses. All are very welcome.
