The first day of our sprint/urban festival will take place in the fantastic University of Limerick campus. UL is known as "Ireland's Sports Campus" and boasts a rich history of sports education and sporting success.
Our Open Sprint Championships will be the first event of the day, with orienteers being challenged to make quick decisions across the campus. We will also have a limited number of one-the-day maps for newcomers to orienteering to get a taste of our sport on a great campus.
In the afternoon, we will run the two-person sprint relay event, where orienteers will pair up and take on two fast and interesting courses as a team. This event is free for participants in the Sprint Championships, and e encourage everyone to give it a try and see what pairs will find success!
Special thanks to the team at UL Sport and UL Facilities Management for their help in hosting this event.
